This is the original Geneva Bible 1569 in PDF

The Geneva Bible was called the “study bible” because of the inclusion of material that aids studying it e.g. indexes, maps, tables and various other features.

This Bible was made during the reign of Queen Mary I (England). It was one of the Bibles brought to America on the Mayflower and it was used by famous people such as Shakespeare, Oliver Cromwell and John Milton.

This Bible was printed under the leadership of John Calvin.

This was the first mechanically printed Bible. The edition that we have here was printed in 1569.

Please be advised, that with all ancient texts, one must be careful and view it together with other editions/reprints (in case some text is lost or unreadable due to age etcetera). However, this does not reduce the pleasure of reading the original and ancient texts!

Please also be advised, that to ensure speedy download and reading, the Bible/book has been embedded (as Adobe pdf) – whilst it is downloading you will see a progress bar. However, before the download completes, if you scroll up or down, during this time, the page WILL look a bit weird. Wait till it downloads and all will be OK.

The Original Bible or book is below:

(Sometimes the Bible/book does not load, just change the page number and then retry the original page or refresh the web page)

This Is Page Number:

If you do not see the book on this page it is probably because Google Docs has not loaded it. Please either refresh the page or change the page number and it should start to work.

Index of the book (please forgive any unreadable bits: this index is computer generated from ancient texts):

  1. Hi! Sure you can. Move the mouse to the top of the page and click the save button (needs Adobe Reader installed). However, this is one page at a time.

    1. brother! Would you do me a favor for downloading whole book at one time not a single page at a time? Because I want to print it and make a book. I figured out that Korean version of bibles are so corrupted and misinterpreted that they don’t convey real meaning of the word of God. So I’m preparing for translating but it’s really hard to click buttons almost thousand times for downloading it. Please have a compassion unto us, korean christians.

  2. Hi,  I fully understand your situation. However, please understand that many of our Bibles are hundreds of megabytes and some are close to a GB. To ensure that our servers do not have a problem and to also ensure that you can read the pages (without having to wait 30 minutes) we have done it this way. If however you have 1 Bible that you would like I could temporarily make such available. Let us know.

    1. Thanks! I want Geneva Bible 1569 in this page. But I replied , it was deletedIf you want, I will let you know my email address.

  3. Hi James, We have done a special link for you http://www.originalbibles.com/GBible1569.zip it is 496 MB When you have finished downloading please let us know so we can remove the link. Hope this helps!
Please understand that this is a zip file of the individual pages. To just print all at once:
    1. Download and install Adobe Pro trial https://www.acrobat.com/free-trial-download.html
    2. Unzip the Geneva Bible files to a directory
    3. Run the installed Adobe Pro and select the ‘combine files’ option. You will now have one BIG pdf file that you can print all at once.

  4. Pls I am interested in the Geneua Bible. Can you assist me with a link so i can quickly download the whole pages at ones. Thank you.

  5. Worthless if I can’t download the whole book…I’m not downloading one page at a time…it would take all day!

  6. Hi there… is there a possibility that you could consolidate the Geneva bible and add it as a download or perhaps put into 3 sections… at present im studying the bible and downloading a page at a tie is not working out especially if you want to refer… i see there was a link to a zip file but that seems to have disappeared…

i thank you for your hard work and time
