We are very happy to add to our growing and extensive list of Bibles the Parallel Bible (1885). This Bible was published in 1885 by Oxford Press.

It is a unique and special Bible because it has 2 Bibles in Parallel – the 1611 Authorised King James Version and the Revised Version of 1881 (New Testament) and 1885 (Old Testament).

Please be advised, that with all ancient texts, one must be careful and view it together with other editions/reprints (in case some text is lost or unreadable due to age etcetera). However, this does not reduce the pleasure of reading the original and ancient texts!

I would like to download “Parallel Bible 1885 – King James (Authorised) 1611 & Revised Version (1881 &1885)” but cannot find a link to do so. Also, the page view here does not work-it only yields a black screen.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

The page view does work, it just might need refreshing or changing page numbers and going back to numbers.

Unfortunately the archive site is temporarily down. Searching on there when it is up again should work.
